Description of the timeline
The timeline lists the slides
which compose the project: it consists of 3 tracks:

The background track:
slides are listed from left to right. For each slide are
shown:
- An icon corresponding to the transition selected
to pass from the previous background to this slide
(if a new background is defined). .
- A thumbnail representing the background associated
with this slide.

The mounting track:
slides are listed from left to right. Each slide is
represented by:
- An icon corresponding to the transition selected
to pass from the previous slide to this slide, under
which is indicated the duration of the transition in
seconds.
- A thumbnail in the form of a static image for
slides consisting of title or photo, or in the form
of a video (under which is placed a soundtrack).
- Possibly an icon
may appear at the
lower left if the slide is animated (that is
consisting of more than a shot).
- The thumbnail represents the first image of the
slide.

The music track:
- Every play-list is shown by alternation of color.
- The track is more or less filled according to the
sound volume selected, displaying the variation in
volume.
- The musical transitions (fade in/out) are shown as
crossings.
- Possible pauses are symbolized by a change in the
volume to zero and the icon
.

The timeline has 2 different display modes:
In preview mode, priority is
given to the multimedia player, which occupies the main part
of the available area.
The timeline is reduced to a single line.
In sheet mode, priority is given
to the slide thumbnails, which occupy the main part of the
available area.
The multimedia player is reduced to a small space located near
the toolbar.
Slide thumbnails are shown on several lines like staves in
sheet music.
To modify an element:
To reorder the slide in the timeline
- Simply drag the slide to a new position with the mouse
(drag & drop)
To modify the display of the timeline:
The timeline settings commands
are in the status bar, to the right, at the bottom of the main
window.

Increases the size of the thumbnails but reduces the number of
thumbnails shown in the timeline.

Reduces the size of the thumbnails and increases the number of
thumbnails shown in the timeline.

Switches the display to the
preview mode

Switches the display to the sheet mode
